Can you tell me the list of products you use?
I wash my hair once a week with diluted shampoo mixed with conditioner. I deep condition once a week with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose for one hour. About once a month I saturate my hair with coconut oil and leave it in my hair for an hour then rinse.
Do you flatiron your hair after a rollerset?
Yes I do occasionally if I am trying to go for a straight look. I usually only flatiron the roots to keep my ends healthy and free of split ends.
If your hair gets dry after a rollerset do you add anything to the spray bottle?
If my hair gets dry I only add water to the spray bottle and saturate my hair with water. I do not add any type of setting lotion to my hair because this makes my hair crunchy. If you want to add something to the water then I recommend a dime sized amount of conditioner.
How often should I rollerset my hair?
I personally rollerset once a week. You can rollerset as many times as you wish, but please take into consideration the heat damage you can cause your hair if you flatiron too frequently.
Can rollersetting my hair make it grow?
Rollersetting is a great way to retain the length of your hair, but you will also need to take care of your hair by using the correct shampoos and conditioners for your hair, protective styling such as buns, deep condition at least once a week, maintain a good diet, not manipulate your hair, and not use excessive heat on your hair.
